The first meeting of your brand new local group, Make Votes Matter Bristol. Make Votes Matter is the cross-party
campaign to introduce Proportional Representation to the House of Commons,
led by democratically-organised activists in a united movement for electoral reform. You can learn more on our website
<https://www.makevotesmatter.org.uk/> and see what other local groups from across the country <http://www.makevotesmatter.org.uk/find-local-group/>
are doing.

The May 2015 General Election was the most disproportionate in British history. 24% of voters voted for the Green Party, UKIP or the Liberal Democrats. These parties now share 1.5% of seats in parliament – effectively excluding the voices of these millions of people from Parliament. At the same time, a party that received less than 37% of the votes was handed a majority of seats and 100% of the executive power. This simply must change, but if we are to win we need people from right across
the political spectrum to work together on the issue.

Our first meeting in Bristol is taking place on Monday 27th March, from 7 to 8.30pm at the YHA Bristol (Conference Room), 14 Narrow Quay.
