London Friend also has an extensive database of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender services, agencies and charities that are available throughout the country. All calls are handled in the strictest confidence and we cannot trace your call. Minicom facilities are available on request. Our LGBT Bereavement Helpline is open every Tuesday 7.30pm and 9.30pm evening, for people who have been bereaved or are preparing for bereavement and want to talk to one of our trained volunteers. Samaritans have been helping people in distress since 1953, their volunteers are amongst the most dedicated people in the voluntary sector, highly trained to hold the despair and suicidal feelings of those seeking their help without judgement or even suggesting what course they should take. All communications are confidential, but if asked Samaritans can try and help find sources of specialist help for people with specific needs.
